We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in our recent customer satisfaction survey about Blacon Adventure Playground.

More than 100 people took part in the survey, letting us know their experiences of visiting the playground, what facilities they value most and any additions they’d like to see.

We’ve analysed all of the responses and are delighted that the feedback is extremely positive.

Ninety-seven per cent (108 of 111 respondents) rated their visit to the playground as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ overall, while 96 per cent were satisfied with the facilities on offer and 97 per cent with the friendliness of our staff.

The majority (71 per cent) told us they visit the playground daily or weekly, 90 per cent were satisfied with the variety of activities on offer and 97 per cent were either ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the safety on-site.

Many people told us they particularly value the opportunity to visit and interact with the animals on our city farm, while others highlighted the schedule of school holiday activities and the warm welcome they receive at the playground all year round.

Potential additions and improvements people would like to see include more animals, a sensory play area and better drainage to prevent it getting muddy underfoot in the winter.

Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “We know how highly valued the playground is, both by our community in Blacon and visitors from further afield.

“We’re grateful that people have taken the time to share their views and it’s great to hear such positive responses about the site and the service our team provides.

“We always welcome honest feedback, and it’s also very valuable to hear people’s suggestions on how the playground could develop in the future and further improve. We’re already trying to improve the drainage and will do our very best to continue to make improvements to the site over the next 12 months.”
